In Celeb World age is just a number; celebrities live life in the fast lane and speed rapidly through all the milestones of marriage, kids and more. Failure to have had at least two marriages, three kids, four different career paths and two properties in two different continents by the age of thirty is the true epitome of failure in an industry where having everything and doing everything is key. Without taking this in to consideration, twenty three may seem like a young age in which to publish an autobiography. However, for Billie Piper, who first encountered fame at the tender age of fifteen, an autobiography actually seems strangely long overdue. Billie ... Read the complete review

Billie Piper - Growing pains ********************** I have just finished reading Billie Pipers autobiography, Growing Pains. The reason its taken me so long to read this book, is simply because its been sitting on my book shelf, shouting read me, read me, for ages, but l just haven't got around to reading it. l now have a little bit more time on my hands so l thought ld have a read. I knew before l read this book, that things in her life had changed since this book was published, so the book was likely to be a little outdated, but l still decided it would be worth a read. I'm happy to say it was! The book l read ... Read the complete review

GROWING PAINS is the title of the autibiography by singer turned actress BILLIE PIPER. The book opens with Billie at fourteen years old when she is about to sign her first contract as a singer. She is honest that she admits it was maybe too big a decision for her to make at a young age, but that fame was what she wanted at a young age. She goes on to describe her school days as filled with alot of alcohol, drugs and sex. I thought she talked about these issues as though every child does it at school when that is clearly not the case. I felt that she appeared a little arrogant in this section. However, Billie was more honest about the ... Read the complete review

I should note, to begin with, that the book I bought had an extra volume added to it; an update in Billie's life. I've always been interested in Billie Piper. I'm only two years younger than her and I followed her from her pop star days right through to her role as Rose Tyler in the revamped Dr. Who series; in which she excelled. I eventually bought "Growing Pains" last year after knowing about it for a long time. I knew it would be an interesting read as soon as I got wind of its release, but I must say I was surprised with the rave reviews it received from broadsheet newspapers, considering the harsh press she often gets. You turn the first page. You start to read. You cannot stop... I know no other person who expresses themselves the way Billie does. The way she talks about her past, her thought, her feelings, your heart really does go out to her. Growing Pains is not a book for the light hearted. ***** Billie starts her book with a section from her final script with Doctor Who. It gives it a nice clear beginning, and indicates that what you are about to read is not a happy story. "Planet Earth. This is where I was born. And this is where I died..." After such a touching introduction, Billie goes on to talking about the thing ... Read the complete review
