'The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole' is the second book in the famous Adrian Mole series by Sue Townsend and was first published in 1984. The book charts the ups and downs of complicated but nerdy adolescent Adrian and his eccentric family and friends in the years 1982 and 1983 through his diary. While later books in the series were enjoyable and entertaining but - understandably given they were written years later eventually featuring an adult Adrian - not quite the same, The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole was written right after the classic original and is identical in style and quality.
