Ahhhh...the feel good factor from stories that are about teachers who make a real impact on their students lives, nothing quite like it, eh? Back in 1957 we famously got Sidney Poitier in To Sir With Love. He took a class of society rejects who caused numerous other teachers to resign and turned their lives around with lessons about respect and discipline. The film, set upon the eve of the swinging '60's dealt with teacher/student infatuations, disruptive home lives, and many other common issues of modern teen aged life.
