This book is lovely, it all about love. It is about a little rabbit and his dad. At bed time the little rabbit wanted to tell his dad how much he loved him but didnt know how so he used an example of how big his love was and told hid dad that he loved him higher than he could hop but dad loved baby rabbit more and came up with his own example shortly followed by the little rabbit thinking of an even bigger example aswell as realising this was a very good way of putting off bedtime. Little rabbit comes up with a great big example of his love, he loves his dad as far away as the moon is and wholst dad struggled to think of anything bigger little ... Read the complete review

Hi there and welcome to my review on a wonderful book named Guess How Much I Love You. This is specifically the Jigsaw Puzzle Book. I discovered this book a few years ago at a christening in Pontefract. It was a fairly low key service conducted by the most odd female vicar. As part of her service, she read a story to the children present in the room. That story was Guess How Much I Love You. Since that day, we have been in love with this particular book and never tire of it. Guess how much I Love You is written by Sam McBratney. In his very own words, Sam spent his time - post war - "in short trousers and Fair Isle jumpers". ... Read the complete review

So often in life the simplest ideas and design have the most effective and stunning results. Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney is a perfect example of this. First published in 1994 it is on the surface a simple story-book with young children in mind. However in just 20 pages, with no more than 30 words per page it conveys so much emotion and thought behind that greatest of mysteries, love. From the moment we are born we are programmed to attach such importance to love, being loved and loving others, and yet it is an emotion which we are often unable to find words to describe adequately. Young children are not aware of the idea that ... Read the complete review

"I love you right up to the moon" he said, and closed his eyes. "Oh that's far" said Big Nutbrown Hare. "That is very, very far." Big Nutbrown Hare settled Little Nutbrown Hare into his bed of leaves. He leaned over and kissed him goodnight. Then he lay down close by and whispered with a smile, "I love you right up to the moon - AND BACK!!" Don't this just make your heart melt. I read this book to my 9 month old daughter every night and every night it makes me smile. Whether you are a mother/ father or not, every single person must be able to relate to this book in some way. For me when I ... Read the complete review

This book, written by Sam McBratney and illustrated by Anita Jeram is something of a publishing phenomenon. Since it's original publication in 1994 it has sold in excess of 15 million copies and been published in 37 languages (figures from wikipedia so might be slightly off). It's available in multiple formats - with a CD, board book, paperback, numerous sizes and with cuddly rabbits. There's also several spin-off products such as a Baby book for recording all those precious memories, a cheque-book (to remind loved ones how much you love them) without real cheques of course and a set of sequels '....in the Summer' '....in the Winter' etc. I suspect ...
