Hairy Maclary's Showbusiness is a book from award winning New Zealand children's author Lynley Dodd, and is part of the Hairy Maclary series that have been so popular. The book has wonderful rhyming prose that attracts the children's attention, as well as cheeky and fun illustrations accompanying each page. I am a huge fan of Lynley Dodd's children's books and this is one is no exception. Lynley Dodd has written a wide range of brilliant books in teh Hairy Maclary series, following the huge success of 'Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy' first published way back in 1983. ~ Who is Hairy Maclary? ~ HM is a dog and the illustrations make him look very lovable and cute and sometimes in need of a bit of TLC as he's a bit on the scruffy side.
