There are 24 pages, the last 2 pages are for adults/parents which gives tips and ideas on how to use the book and what to do when your child hits out.
The book starts off with telling the reader that hands come in all shapes,colours and sizes. It then starts to gets the reader to think about what hands are for and so we get to wave our hands.

My son is 3 years old and I have to say at times he is not the easiest of children to live with! Over the last few months we have had a big problem with him hitting me and his daddy if he cannot get his own way. My Son started nursery school in June and at first he seemed to be settling in well we didn't really expect any problems as he had been in playgroup for 1 year with no problems. Anyway we were horrified one day when his teacher called us into the classroom to tell us that my little boy had hit 7 children in his class!
