... Best Steak Sarnie" really is the best. **Kids Club** With todays society of fast food and overweight unhealthy kids this section is full of ideas to help you introduce your children to fun healthy cooking. From getting them to help you with the shopping to bashing with a pestle and mortar. My kids adore the healthy "sweets" - pureed dried fruit cooked until chewy. Although I shied away from the idea of letting them "smush" icecream on a board at the table (my children need no help in gett...more

This cookbook accompanies the BBC2 series The Naked Chef. This book is a hardback book where the pages are thick and they are also shiny so they are hardwearing for all those messy recipes! **IN THE BOOK** *Herbs* the first part is about hers and how important Jamie Oliver thinks they are in cooking. this is only a page long and to put it bluntly there really is no need for it to be in the book, except to take up two pages. *Comfort* This chapter gives recipes on the food that sometimes we all require - comfort food. Some of the recipes are: Toad in the Whole - one of m favourites, Stew and Dumplings, Chilli Con Carne, Curry, Fishfinger ...  Read the complete review

Jamie Oliver...You either love him or hate him. Regardless of what you think of the cheeky chappie himself, this recipe book is a winner as far as I'm concerned. I've tried a recipe from almost all of the chapters in the book, and every single one of them has been a resounding success. When I turn to this book for a special dish for a dinner party, or something unusual and romantic for my partner and myself, I know I'll be pleased with the results. **** THE FORMAT Just as he does on his successful TV show, Jamie gets down and dirty in the kitchen straight away and doesn't faff around with lengthy introductions. There's a short ...  Read the complete review

Oh what culinary delights hide between the hard covers of this book. Being a big fan of Delia and The Good Housekeeper Jamie brings a fresh style to cooking and cookbooks. I love cooking, but like most people with busy lives tend to cook the same easy meals week in week out on autopilot. Since owning Jamie Olivers Pukka tuck books many of my "set meals" are of restaurant quality. *********** **** The Book **** This is Jamie's 3rd cook book and was first published in 2001 by Penguin (Michael Joseph). It was written to accompany his tv series "The Naked Chef". It costs around £20.00 and is worth every ...  Read the complete review

He's a PUKKA MUKKA. Mr Jamie Oliver the Naked Chef takes you through over 200 meals, dips and snacks suitable for every grade of cook. If you are a Sunday Carver of like a Saucy Dip then this is the book for you. Let me make a couple of admissions first. 1. I used to hate Jamie Oliver. 2. I now like Jamie Oliver. Come on. Can you blame me? He was and still is everywhere. From supermarket shelves to newspapers and magazines, his mug pokes out at you grinning like an idiot. It was always "Pukka" this and "my Jules" that. What a Muppet. However it is easy to criticise someone when you know nothing about them. So I went ...  Read the complete review
