Jonne Harris was born in 1964 on 3/7/1964 in Yorkshire in a place called Barnsley. Her mother is French and her father her father was english. Her grandparents owned a sweet shop . She was educated at Wakefield Girls'High and went to Barnsley Sixth Form College. From there she went to St Catherine's College which was in Cambridge where she studied Modern and Medieval Languages. She was teaching when she wrote her first three novels which were The Evil Seed which was published in 1989.
