A warm welcome back to those who have read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone to the wonderful and (excuse the pun) magical world of Harry Potter. For those who haven't read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, welcome!

This book continues the life of Harry Potter, orphand as a baby when his parents are murdered by the darkest wizard of all, who attends Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After suffering another bad holiday at the hands of his Uncle and Aunt (the Dursleys), Harry cannot wait to get back to school!

Odd, yes, but Harry is a Wizard, and so is not a "normal" person as his Uncle would say! However, noene of his friends had written all holiday and Harry was beginning to worry. Until one night, a house elf called Dobby appears in Harry's room and warns him not to return to Hogwarts!

After a conversation in which the house elf hits and hurts himself, he drops a cake that Harry's Aunt made for a special dinner and Harry is contacted by the Ministry of Magic warning him agianst further breaches of magic law!

Harry, locked up in his room and starved by the Dursleys, gives up hope of returning to Hogwarts, until he is rescued by his best friend, Ron, in a flying car. And so, escaping the Dursleys, Harry can return to the wonderful world of Magic. Return to Diagon Alley and visit the wonderful wizarding shops, visit the Burrow, Rons house and learn the ways a wizarding family live, travel by floo powder and most importantly Hogwarts.

Continue to discover the sport of Quidditch, new lessons, new dangers and new secret passage ways. Attend a death day party, and learn how to duel like a wizard. But the dangers Dobby spoke of back at the Dursleys seem to come true!

Attacks on school students and ghosts lead to Harry finding himself accused of them and having to discover the truth. Is it another attmpt by the Dark Lord Voldemort to return to power? Harry must battle through losing all the bones in hios arm (!) and having a friend caught up in this new evil mystery.

The adventures continue and are not to be missed!

Summary: Another great book in the Harry Potter series.
