Advantages: great story, quite different

Disadvantages: none

Harry Potter returns for the second installment of his adventure at Hogwarts and the book gets off to a flying start - literally. Having missed the train, Ron and Harry enlist the help of a flying car to get them there. Once safely at Hogwarts, Harry must try to deal with a mysterious voice that only he seems to hear. Attacks are happening in the castle, people are paralysed and the Heir of Slytherin is behind it all. But who is it? And what can Harry do?

Once again JK Rowling captures the mood of children perfectly, balancing darkness and humour brilliantly while retaining the sense of imagery that she I so well known for. Prepare to love and hate Gilderoy Lockhart at the same time, be chilled by the voice within the walls and marvel at the closeness of friendship. Harry Potter is a brilliant character because he is flawed and readers will be able to relater to him, no matter what age or gender they are.

Summary: brilliant
