... transition to film has had to be split into 2 parts. It literally kept me gripping the pages, so much happens. I got this book at midnight and didn't go to bed until 7am because I was desperate to finish it. Rowling is further exploring the theme of friends as family and this is echoed at the very end of the book with the epilogue. I do feel that this it was a bit cheesy, but I was glad it was added so I knew what actually happened to the characters I had grown up with. The book would have lacked something without it. o=[========> Before reading this review please note that it contains spoilers for previous books in the series, if you haven't yet read them I would advise you to close my review now unless you already know what happens. I've tried not to give too much away about the Deathly Hallows. o=[========> 'Hogwarts: A History' Things are not looking good for the wizarding world, Lord Voldermort has returned and the only one who he was ever afraid of has been murdered. Now the only hope for the wizarding community is Harry 'The Chosen One' Potter. This book is not like the previous books for many reasons. I am going to now own up and embarrass myself; I couldn’t wait for the release of this book. Yes I know that I am a 35-year-old woman and usually I don’t go in for anything that has a lot of hype surrounding it but for this book I did succumb. I started reading the Harry Potter series to my son when he was 5 years old and started with the first book The Philosophers Stone, I read him about 10 pages when he decided to fall asleep and I spent the rest of the night reading the rest until I had finished it! I then read the rest of the series and it became tradition that when each book was released we would pre-order and fight over who would read it first! This ...  Read the complete review

I have been a huge Harry Potter fan since I was about 11 years old. I have a huge Harry Potter collection and I have read all of the books, some of them a couple of times. I was really excited when I heard that the publication date for the final instalment was July 21st 2007. I ordered it from Amazon back in March and was very excited when it arrived. As I work weekends and my nephew came to stay with me it took me a week to read. I wanted to read each page thoroughly though, to make sure I properly appreciated everything that was happening. When The Order of the Phoenix came out a lot of my peers said they were going to find out what happened and spoil it ...  Read the complete review

************* NO SPOILERS **************** Well what am I going to do now I am Potterless .The final book in J K Rowling’s magical saga came to end with the publication of the seventh book ,'Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows '. I finished reading it today which is fairly quick for me these days . I suppose the fact I have been a little under the weather , in every sense of the word , gave me some extra time . However credit has to go to the author who created 607 pages of sheer excitement . The seventh book carries on the tale almost where the previous book ,'The Half Blood Prince ' left off . Each book has become more intense and thrilling than ...  Read the complete review
