Advantages: worth a try

Disadvantages: hard to get into

My son has been an avid reader of all the Harry Potter books and has enjoyed them so much he asked me to read them so he could discuss them with me. It was great to follow the characters and their adventures but this one has been an anti-climax. He read the others within a few days but this one has been an uphill struggle. He feels it is repetitive and hard to get into. We wanted it to be gripping from the first chapter as the others were but what a disappointment. We read the reviews that other children found that it wasn't as enjoyable as the first three but we thought surely not!
However we have to say that this isn't one that will be the chat of the classroom. Sadly.
