Advantages: still as captivating as the other books

Disadvantages: not as ideal for children

This is it the book that most of the world has being waiting for. Adults and children alike, as the whole world seems to have been taken in under the Harry Potter spell.

Although I do like the series (if I can call it that) I was not one of the people queueing up waiting for past midnight to be one of the first to by the book I have better things to be doing. Instead I pre ordered it so it arrived on my doorstep (too big to fit through my letter box) the next morning.

I'm not going to give too much away for the people who might not have read it yet, as it would spoil it compleatly. But i will mention something, the dark lord has returned. For those of you who have read any of the books you might be able to predict that this is one of the most frightening yet. Where the book is more dark, quite thrilling. I deffinatly wouldn't recomend it for the younger readers, seriously it would give them nightmares.

I don't think J.K Rowling intended it to be focused more on adults but thats the way it appeared to me. the story as a whole to read I thought was a lot more difficult, if its meant to be for the younger readers as well.

one thing that it doesn't fail on is the ability to pour itself around you. J.K rowling as usual makes the book seem very vivid as if you are watching the story unfold from the corner.

As rumours have told the truth there is a death of one of the main characters in this book, it all happened so suddenly and unexpectidly it made me gasp and then cry ( i know i sound a sissy) its because the book captivates you so much into its story.

The only thing which disapointed me about this book was that well the endig was abrubt. the main action in the book seemed to happen right at the end. Everything was going along stedily without anything to exciting happeninging and in the last few chapters everything was over and done with. apart from that another good book in the chain of harry potter books

Summary: good but suited more for the older readers

I thought this was very good - something of a return to form after the disppointment of Order of the Phoenix though Prisoner of Azkaban remains my favourite... :) tom

I love the artwork on the adult versions - so much better than the cartoon covers!
