Advantages: Great book from cover to cover

Disadvantages: Absolutely nothing

I had the books (1 to 4) at least a year before I read them and I owned them a few years after they'd originally become famous. It actually didn't read this first book until I'd actually seen the first film, but then I was hooked, I had to read it, and I'm certainly glad I did. I found it to be a must better read than watching the film as I read it continuously from start to finish, barely putting the book down and you will have the same problem as soon as you pick this book up too!

I'm not going to go into too much detail regarding Harry Potter etc (but that is generally known world wide anyway). This book in particular within the series goes through Harry's first year at Hogart's school of magic and Harry's introduction to the mystical world and his mystical foe. You'll get to read and get introduced to this world too, get to experience far more than you ever could with the movies, and experience it better.

If you've watched the film and loved them it is well worth reading the books. And I think this is one of those situations where it's OK to do something because everyone else is. Really, you should join the masses who have made the right decision and read this book series, obviously starting with this one. I PROMISE you'll love it!
