Advantages: It's got everything, adventure, magic, mystery

This is not the first time i've read this book and it definatly won't be the last.

I love this book so much it's full of adventure, magic, mystery, comedy and it's also a heart-warming story.

The story begins when Harry Potter is one years old and his parents are killed, and he is left in the care of his aunt and uncle- The Dursleys.
Pertunia and Vernon Dursley have a son called Dudley- a spoilt child that gets whatever he wants from his parents and constantly picks on poor Harry.

Harry grows up without any affection or love from the Dursleys, as they constantly remind him of how much of a burden he is to them and how much they hate him.

On Harry's eleventh birthday, he gets an unexpected surprise from an old friend of his parents and to his shock he discovers that he is a wizard, and that he has been excepted into Hogwarts school of witchcraft an wizardry.

For the first few months of school, Harry is relieved that he finally fits in somewhere and he has loads of friends.
His two best friends are Ronald Weasly and Hermoine Granger.

Ron has five older brothers and is worried that he won't be able to live up to their achievements.

Hermoine comes from muggle (non-magic) parents and is desperate to prove that she's just as good as any other witch.

As the three of them settle into life at school, something sinister starts to happen and the trio have to solve the mystery before it's too late.

With the help of the lovable half giant- Hagrid and the headmaster of Hogwarts- Proffesor Dumbledore, these students will have a year at school they will never forget.

This book will have you trying to guess the ending all the way through and if you haven't watched the film, you should be pleasently surprised.

I highly recommend this book to everyone, children and adults will enjoy the story.
