Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone.
Harry Potter is just like any other boy, he lives in a cupboard under the stairs, he is bullied at school, and his auntie, uncle and cousin whom he lives with dislike him so much it borders on hatred. One day Harry recieves 'a letter from no-one', and his life starts on a path of change that he could never have imagined. On the stroke of his 11th birthday a half giant called Hagrid crashes into his life and delivers a shocking revelation . . . Harry is a wizard, and not only that but his parents didn't die in a car crash like he had been told, they were killed by the most evil wizard that ever lived 'Lord Voldemort' who had mysteriously dissapeared after trying (and failing) to kill Harry as a baby, leaving Harry with a lightning bolt scar across his forehead. Unbeknown to him this made Harry famous in the wizarding world! Hagrid delivers even better news, telling Harry that in september, he is going to Hogwarts 'an infamous wizarding school' where both his parents attended, to learn to be a fully qualified wizard.
This is a really great book, Rowling quickly whisks you away into Harrys world and even though the book is about witches and wizards, you can't help believing every thing she says!
This book is meant for children, but the grown ups, will be fighting about who gets to read it to them each bed time!
A really great book for all ages, very highly reccomended
Summary: A must read for anyone
