Advantages: Great fun to read
Disadvantages: Confusing names
I was never really into fantacy or make belive books much as I don't really have much of an imagination. But when one of friends read the book, she recomended it to me. I read it just to please her but I really enjoyed it! The first book which appeared in 1996 was called "Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone" and was a great succsess and won numourus awards. It follows the story of Harry who is living with his Uncle and Aunt. His parents died in "a car crash" when he was only a baby so off he goes and is stuck with the Dursleys for the rest of his childhood, or so he thinks untill he finds out that he is a wizard and is ment to got the school of which craft and wizardy, Hogwarts. And what a great destiny awates him here! There is a whole story in the book but also a bit of unfinnished buissines left so it will keep you in suspence untill the next book. There are 4 at the moment and other various little books that has been writen like a book on the rules of Quidditch, the most fantastic sport ever thought up and I would jump at the chance to play it. These are great fun to read but all the confusing names will leave you in a bit of a muddle, and if your like me will go thought the whole few books thinking that you have read it right then realise in the fourth book, after it has been spelt how you say it, that it's wrong! The books are well writen and are not silly like a childs book may have been expected to have been, that is why these classics have been read by child and adult alike. If you ever get the chance, definatley read them! kelB
