Having It and Eating It is a brilliant book which is what I would put in a category women's fiction. Sabine Durrant has portrayed a great character and book through the life of a normal working mother called Maggie with two children called Fergus and Dan and her boyfriend Jake. Maggie has been with her boyfriend Jake ever since school and she has had two children. According to her friend Mel they are one of the most in love couples she has seen and they will last forever. Claire Masterson then bumps into Maggie in the street when she is at her wost with all of her shopping bags and the children. Claire Masterson was always the pretties girl at school who ... So why did I get this? Well it wasn’t just one but both of these – only £3.89 instead of £5.99 in Tesco, and with a wonderfully colourful front, and despite my resolutions, I just couldn’t resist. For once I was rewarded though, because this book is absolutely fantastic. “Having It and Eating It” is Sabine Durrant’s first novel, and I for one cannot ... Read the complete review
