First book i ever read by Nora Roberts as recommended by a friend. Morrigan s Cross is part of a trilogy but i think it would have worked better as 1 book in 3 parts. All 3 books are a love story between 2 of the 6 main characters. Each story starts around the same time and i think it would have been better to have them all intertwined rather than seperate books. The book is about a 12th century Irish sorceror (Hoyt) who gets visited by Morrigan (a god) to make an army to defeat the vampire queen, Lillith, after she turns his brother (Cyan) into a vampire. Hoyt has to gather another 5 people to start his army and it see s him travel into the future where most of this ...

To me it looks like just another sappy romance novel, which I would never in a million years consider reading. But my local library has practically a shelf full of Nora Roberts books and, remembering that a friend of mine thought they were pretty good, decided to pick one out in an attempt to be more open-minded and less of a book snob!
