James Lee Burke is a US crime writer receiving critical acclaim from many international publications. He has written 26 published novels, receiving at least two Edgar Awards and a nomination for a Pulitzer Prize for his work. The novel is focused on a guy named Dave Robicheaux who is witness to an horrific plane crash while he is out with his Wife for the day trying to enjoy some peaceful relaxing time fishing. He basically attends the wreckage and finds four dead and miraculously one survivor, a little girl.
