I would have loved it as I wasn t terribly keen on the first movie, but it may not have set well with the general paying public. Written by Mike Magnolia and John Byrne for Dark Horse Comics, this is a wonderful Lovecratian story with fantastic yet simple film noir artwork. The colouring is solid colours and there s no subtle shading or gradients. There s also barely any special effects of the "Crash", "boom, "Krrrrakkkkk!!!!!!" variety. So when they are used they have impact. It has everything, World War 2, Nazis, Black magic, rituals, a medium getting the heebigeebies, a bald Rasputin and big ass cigar chomping red muscualr devil as the ...
