I'm a secondary 6 student in Hong Kong. My English teacher recommended this book and I read it during my summer vacation. I find the story interesting, while after my reading I start looking at things in different angles. I would say this book help me develop a new way of thinking.

I have read jostein Gaarder's works before, and enjoyed them, but here is something a little different. Hello... is genuinely aimed at children, (see my other reviews of his books for more on that contentious issue), though it still makes interesting reading for adults. As with his other work, it has a thoughtful and philosophical theme, encouraging children to ask and consider questions more than answers. It tells the story of Joe (the author) who is writing a letter to a young friend, Camilla. This gives the narrative a personal aspect that allows the author to write as if to a child more easily.
