Advantages: good book

Disadvantages: Didn't Intrigue Me!!!

As you may have already guessed, by now, I'm definitely a High School Musical fan. So you'd probably guess that I might eventually have a review on nearly everything (from Books to the films). Well I had already read the first book from this new Book series called "High School Musical: Stories from East High" The first book happened to have been called "Battle of the Bands", if you have not read my review on that book I recommend you to do so....

Anyway the last time I currently checked the title of this book it happened to have been called "Wildcat Spirit". This is the 2nd book in the series from "East High". Now personally it was not as good as the first book in the series, although it had a strong story line and a good grip (I mean that it was slightly intriguing.)

I personally can see, in possibly about 10-15 years time, these books will probably become Pocket books. Why do I think that? Well there happens to be a lot of different reasons, but I shall start with the one that jumps out at me which happens to be the fact that this whole series is written by tons of different authors, possibly 1 or 2 books each. As I know quite well, as I have read many pocket books, that most pocket books happen to be written by lots of different authors and I have yet to come across one whole series from the line of production from Pocket Books with only one author. So I seriously expect it to be a bit smaller and look like there will be more pages in it.

The story was about a few things actually. The first main point is the end of the basketball season. The second main point is that there's a spirit ball coming up and to make things harder for troy, the GIRLS have to choose who they want to ask, and no matter how many times he tries with Gabriella, he seems not to ask him. The last, and major point is that there is a week in East High called "Spirit Week" where every single day leading up to the spirit ball, in the week, has a certain theme, and it's quite funny with the extravagant costumes Sharpay can think of to either interest Troy into going to the dance with her, and also to help the judges influence in choosing her for Spirit Queen. But will all her hard work pay off and get to be the Spirit Queen, or will some hard-working 2-some win the prize for once? Or will it be 2 people who didn't even go to the dance together at all?

Now, if you happened to have watched the films you'd probably know why Gabriella has forgotten all about the spirit ball. She happened to have forgotten it because she's been totally busy with being totally upset as she overheard her mother talking about moving again, and she happens to be really upset and have little to keep her mind off it, but Ryan always find that switch to make her laugh. Will Gabriella end up not even asking Troy to the Spirit ball? Will she be too late and he ends up going with Sharpay? Or will she be right on time, and they go together? Read this brilliant book to find out.

As you may have gathered, I loved this book, but not as good as I would have if I had read it if it was in much more detail. I presume the good points are that they are based on the films, however they aren't even adaptations they are completely new stories altogether, possibly scripts they had chucked out. However like I've said before this book was not that MAGNIFICENT, it was slightly boring at parts, and the main point in which happens to make this whole book boring is that there is a limited amount of pages, okay so all books have a limited amount of pages, but this one only has like 140 pages, which is not that long at all especially since the text font size weren't normal size and happened to be slightly larger.

I don't really know what else to say apart from the fact that the whole cover doesn't go at all with the story, as it's just Troy (Zac Efron) & Gabriella (Vanessa Ann Hudgens) posing for specifically the cover.

Overall I think if you have read the first book in the series you might as well read this book (I TOTALLY RECOMMEND BATTLE OF THE BANDS!!!!!!!!!!! Would make a good Christmas present) But this book happens to not fit in with the Christmas present idea and should be given as a gift from the kindness of your heart.

If I have convinced you into reading this series YAY, if I have not YAY, to be honest my book reviews are there to give you hints and tips on what you should do, whether you should buy or not, but in my honest opinion if you like musicals you will like these books if not then try to avoid them as much as possible I hope I have influenced you into thinking about this book, and I shall let the decision be up to you.
