      Very helpful

      nice book

A while ago I'd sat and downloaded most of the free books in the kindle charts, but never actually got around to reading them. When looking for something quick and easy to read the other day when going somewhere I spotted this and thought it looked like some good easy chick lit to fill the journey!

It is a spin off from the high heels mysteries series which I have never read, but they are supposed to be very similar just with different protagonists. Tina bender, commonly referred to as Bender started as a serious journalist but is now working as the gossip columnist at the LA tabloid. She has a way of knowing everything there is to know about any celebrity gossip, with many contacts in the industry and publishes a juicy column everyday. Then one day she receives a threatening note saying 'if you don't stop writing about me, you're dead' with no idea who the culprit is, Bender has to work fast to find out and save herself. Things are further complicated when her boss Felix assigns her a muscly bodyguard!

It wasn't the best book ever, but it wasn't bad either; it was a nice easy chick lit read which filled in the journey but I wouldn't particularly bother to re-read it, or recommend it now it is no longer free! It is now on amazon for 49 pence which I suppose isn't bad, in print its about 220 pages. There isn't really anything taxing in the book so you don't need to think too much which is an advantage! I liked the plot, mysteries are always enjoyable and this had a nice girly twist on it, with elements of romance which I also liked when Bender let her guard down.
