Charity - Lesley Pearse - Riveting read. Interesting characters, especially Charity. It's quite long (but doesn't feel like it's being padded out).

From A to X: A Story in Letters - John Berger - Very original writing style, beautiful language use The book is too short!

|Bring the Jubilee - Ward Moore|
Good alternate history idea, some interesting characters
Dated style, rambling philosophical dialogues, poor hero, rushed & silly finale
|The Position - Meg Wolitzer||Darkest Longings - Susan Lewis|
It's very gripping
Its set during the world war which I don't normally like
|A Place of Secrets - Rachel Hore|
A good read with warm, likeable characters, good use of dramatic tension
Not very original, some heavy handed shadowing and strange lapses in writing
|Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict - Laurie Viera Rigler||The Confession - John Grisham|
Traditionally strong and fast paced Grisham plot
Tails off badly in the second half

Well constructed murder mystery; good characters
A couple of loose ends not resolved

Explores gender roles in the most creative of means
'Cock' analogy wavered on being ambiguous
