Yes Deviously Cunning Frogs (More Cunning that a Very Cunning Fox, that`s been made Professor of Cunning at Oxford University for the Very Cunning indeed.) the Frogs that rule the universe. So incase you hadn`t gathered already, Frogs rule the Universe.. Or ... more |

"In fact, as they will be delighted to tell you, Taunton is no longer a one horse town, these days they have a bicycle as well" -- from "Expecting Somone Taller" by Tom Holt. Tom Holt is an author in the genre of Humorous Fantasy. If that doesn't mean anything to you, think Terry Pratchet gone a bit nuts and you wont be far off. In fact, he is often compared to Terry Pratchet though they both have very different writing styles. I read it, and got very annoyed. Here was someone, writing in the same style as me, but better. I realised then that I would have to change ... Read the complete review

In every single book of his i`ve read, from page one i`ve been hooked. Holt is an excellent author. His books combine humour, wit, adventure and much more. Every character is as loveable and believable as the last, each developing a distinct personality thoughout the books. Where he gets the ideas for his books is beyond me, for example a sun that is manned and powered around the world by dwarfs! Holt is one of very few authors capable of making me literally laugh out loud as i read his books. A definite must for all comedy-fiction readers. Once you`ve read one, you`ll be certain to become an avid fan. This was a quik ... Read the complete review
