I found that, as often happens with Nora Roberts trilogies, this middle book features a more gentle, beta hero and the romance element lacks the oomph that her first and third books generally offer. That being said, it is still a good read and moves the story along so that I m anxiously awaiting the third book, The Pagan Stone, which brings the story to its conclusion.
