Horrible Histories are a series of cartoon illustrated books for children providing information and stories from a variety of historic periods with titles such as 'Vile Victorians' and 'Vicious Vikings'. These stories are told mainly through a series of comic strips, illustrated timelines and blocks of interestingly illustrated text. The 'wicked world' of Horrible History aim to provide 'history with the nasty bits left in'. This review is about the 2009 'Horrible Histories' Annual produced by Scholastic and available from all major book retailers and many large Supermarkets with a RRP of £6.99 but commonly available within 3 for 2 or 'buy one, get one free' ...
