Horrible Histories: The Incredible Incas - Terry Deary

Premium Review Incredible indeed! (314 words)

is without a doubt one of my favourite subjects, it always has been and always will be! So there is no surprise that I love the Horrible HIstories books by Terry Deary! One of these I adore is the Incredible Incas. Cover: You should never judge a book by its cover, as they say, but I always do! This one has quite a dark blue colour, which is quite magical. A llama is being held at knife point and he looks terrified! Whilst the cover can seem a little amusing it is also quite scary and is defintely exciteful to draw you in! Plot: The book covers the life of the incas, a period I knew nothing about, and what it was like for people. Deary uses a lot of illustrations and ...

Horrible Geography series - which are written in a similar style but with a completely different author and illustrator . This series, Horrible Histories, is written by Terry Deary, who has written some 200 books, and illustrated by Martin Brown . The cover has the Horrible Histories logo printed in red in a cream box, below which is another cream coloured box with The Measly Middle Ages written in green in a nice old fashioned text, the M in measly illustrated in the artistic style you ll see in many manuscripts of the time. Premium Review Measly! (347 words)

One of my childhood favourite authors is none other than Terry Deary. He is famous for his book series known as Horrible Histories. In this collection there are some great reads, one of which is the Measly Middle Ages. Cover: You should never judge a book by the cover, so they say, but I am terrible - I always do it! And I must say, the cover of this particular book is quite unusual. It has a main color of dark blye and there is a picture of two wealthy looking people, aside somebody who looks quite scruffy! This contrast is exciting and lures you in straight off. Plot: Naturally, the book is all about the times of the Middle Ages and the lives lead during that period ...
