History is without a doubt one of my favourite subjects, it always has been and always will be! So there is no surprise that I love the Horrible HIstories books by Terry Deary! One of these I adore is the Incredible Incas.

Cover:
You should never judge a book by its cover, as they say, but I always do! This one has quite a dark blue colour, which is quite magical. A llama is being held at knife point and he looks terrified! Whilst the cover can seem a little amusing it is also quite scary and is defintely exciteful to draw you in!

Plot:
The book covers the life of the incas, a period I knew nothing about, and what it was like for people. Deary uses a lot of illustrations and diagrams to make things clearer, and there are a lot of fascinating facts to be discoverd.

Age:
These books are aimed at children in the aged 9-12 bracket. Children of that age will be indeed attracted to the pictures and comic strips, and the writing is a good size too. Though it does not mean those older will not enjoy it! It is great if you are just beginning to learn about the topic,a s it helps you get to grips with the basics before you tackle the more deep equations in history.

Price:
You can buy this book for just 1p on Amazon.co.uk. Even when you take into consideration the £2.75 postage and packaging fee, that is still pretty amazing, you must agree! It certainly beats the £4.99 RRP price, and is well worth every penny!

This is a fun and educational book which will have you laughing and gasping throughout its 127 pages and is one not to be missed for history fans.
