I've really gotten into the Horrible Histories series lately - ever since picking up my first book from the series at a charity shop- mainly for my daughter, but I had to read it with her, and I got really into them. I've been lucky enough recently to visit a charity shop and buy a whole load of the series for 29p each, as well as some of the 'Horrible Science' and 'Horrible Geography' series - which are written in a similar style but with a completely different author and illustrator . One of my childhood favourite authors is none other than terry Deary. He is famous for his book series known as Horrible Histories. In this collection there are some great reads, one of which is the Measly Middle Ages. Cover: You should never judge a book by the cover, so they say, but I am terrible - I always do it! And I must say, the cover of this particular book is quite unusual. It has a main color of dark blye and there is a picture of two wealthy looking people, aside somebody who looks quite scruffy!
