 ... the Saxons so it was quite a nice read indeed. I learend a lot about them, and in such an interesting way too! There are a lot of witty and humerous parts to read, making the gruesome sound funny. There were also illustrations and diagrams which help a lot as people do tend to remember things in picture form, and they stand out much better too! Terry Deary is one of my favourite childhood authors. He is a delight to read, and his series of Horrible Histories books are definitely a winner with me. One of the books by this title is The Smashing Saxons. Cover: The cover to the Smashing Saxons is quite interesting. There are two men running away from a castle in a hurry as if they had just raided it, an two weak looking men on the floor. It looks so unfair, but very exciting. I couldnt wait to read. Plot: Before I read this I hadn;t really heard of the Saxons so it was quite a nice read indeed. I learend a lot about them, and in such an interesting way too!
