Terry Deary is one of my favourite childhood authors. He is a delight to read, and his series of Horrible Histories books are definitely a winner with me. One of the books by this title is The Smashing Saxons. Cover: The cover to the Smashing Saxons is quite interesting. There are two men running away from a castle in a hurry as if they had just raided it, an two weak looking men on the floor. It looks so unfair, but very exciting. I couldnt wait to read.
