Horrible Histories is a collection of books written by the wonderful author known as Terry Deary. In this collection there are many books and one of these is the Stormin Normans. Cover: I know they say you should never judge a book by its cover, but lets face it, most of us do it! This cover is certainy very attractive. It has a main colour of orange. On the front there are several soldiers on horses as if in the middle of a fight. It is very exciting and definitely draws you in. Plot : The book covers the time period owned by the Normans. It was not a topic I knew a lot about, so I was keen to read. By the end I found out plenty of interesting facts, like who they ...

The series of books known as Horrible Histories is a collection of superb books by author Terry Deary. I love reading these, and one of the titles in the collection is The Vicious Vikings. Cover: You should never judge a book by a cover, but let s face it, most of us do! This particular book has a very blue colour. On the front there is a bulky viking, weapons in hand, looking as if he is ready to attack. He is quite scary looking which makes the book all the more interesting to look at and definitely makes you want to read it. Plot: Like a few other topics, the vikings were something I knew not a lot about. However this book changed it for me, as now I am so much more ...

Terry Deary is one of my favourite childhood authors. He is a delight to read, and his series of Horrible Histories books are definitely a winner with me. One of the books by this title is The Smashing Saxons. Cover: The cover to the Smashing Saxons is quite interesting. There are two men running away from a castle in a hurry as if they had just raided it, an two weak looking men on the floor. It looks so unfair, but very exciting. I couldnt wait to read. Plot: Before I read this I hadn;t really heard of the Saxons so it was quite a nice read indeed. I learend a lot about them, and in such an interesting way too! There are a lot of witty and humerous parts to ...
