Horrid Henry is a collection of books which have been designed for children around the 7 year old mark. The one which I am reviewing is called 'Horrid Henry Gets Rich Quick'. We bought this for my eldest who is just gone 7 as we wanted to get him reading bigger and more interesting books. I am pleased to say that he really has got into this series of books and loves to read about what Henry is getting up to! The book is a paper back and the cover is purple with a picture of Henry tipping his piggy bank upside down trying to get money out of it. The title is in nice big purple and yellow lettering. Horrid Henry, his brother Perfect Peter and his rabble of friends that includes Greedy Graham, Sour Susan and Moody Margaret are currently the subject of 17 books written for children aged between 6 and 11. The author of these books is Francesca Simon and each book is based around the antics of Horrid Henry. As his name suggests Henry is quite simply a horrid child and so are many of his friends, which you may have guessed by their names. Peter his brother on the other hand is completely perfect and mum and dad just wish Henry was more like him.
