I am Legend - Richard Matheson ... Am Legend is a novel about vampires - but it is a world away from Twilight. Published in 1954, the book follows Robert Neville (bearing no resemblance to Will Smith) as he makes a solitary last stand against the vampire hordes, many of whom are his former friends and neighbours, struck down by a deadly virus. We follow Neville as he barricades his house against the creatures, ventures on vampire killing sprees by day and drowns his sorrows in alcohol and memories at night. The story is interspersed with flashbacks to his past life with his wife and child, and reveals how the situation came about. To pass the time, Neville tries through research and experimentation to ... Read the full review: Is he legend? by AbsintheFairy |
