The Green Mile - Stephen King: ... anyone will know who knows me, I am a very faithful fan of one Mr Stephen King, author extraordinaire (my personal opinion of course!). The first book I ever read of his was Salem s Lot (which I will review in due course!) and ever since that day, many years ago, I have been hooked on his books and all of the film adaptations of those books. The Green Mile is one book that I have read many times and my copy is g...

Jonni_boi Welcome to Dead House - R.L. Stine
... book, at the moment, surprised me when I looked it up in amazon and saw it at 1p I didn t expect that! Anyway, this book is a book by the best horror author ever, R. L. Stine. This author is great because he draws you into the book from the very first chapters! He describes places very well using adjectival phrases whenever possible. This book is the first in the series called Goosebumps, the age for it is 8-12, but I think it should be in teenage fiction or young adult, seriously young teenagers will get frightened, I certainly did, and had to finish the book in that day just incase I get a bit freaked out. I love horror books no doubt about that, but always after I...

DavyMichelle Pandora - Anne Rice
... is one of several Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. It s really quite important that you ve read at least a couple of the earlier books in this series before you read this one as it features characters that will otherwise be a bit perplexing to you. This is one of several standalone stories that Anne Rice has written to go with the series but I do feel you need to know what s gone on before to really understand this. In fact it doesn t really serve any purpose if you don t know the story before you read this. Pandora is basically one of the older vampires. Readers who ve read a few of Anne Rice s Vampire Chronicles will know that vampires have existed in ...

DavyMichelle The Vampire Armand - Anne Rice
... Vampire Armand is part of the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles though I must confess I m not sure in what order this appears! I do know it s somewhere in the middle of the series if that helps and that you don t need to read this in any particular order against the others. In fact whereas you really need to have read the first one or two books to enjoy a lot of the others in this series, with this one you don t actually - it stands alone in my opinion. This book tells the story of the youthful vampire Armand and how his life began. It takes us through a huge variety of artistic moments which Armand indulges in as the book is set in Italy of all places. There s ...
