... days. The book has really simple words in it, and it's ideal for a complete beginner to have a try at. I think a lot of 3 or 4 year olds would manage a good deal of this. On most pages, there are just two words, and a lot of those are phonetic words like "dog, hot, not". For example, the story goes "dog is hot" on one page, and then the next features the text "boy is not" and shows a boy cooling off with an ice cream.
