Hothouse. ======== It was the previous review that inspired me to give this book a go, boy was I glad I did. What a weird but good book. The Earth is close to the end of its life, it has stopped turning and one face is always facing the sun and the other obviously in darkness, with a small band in perpetual twilight. The story follows initially a small band of humans who are lost amongst the terrifying jungle. the Jungle is really a huge Banyan tree which under the constant sunlight has grown and overtook all other plants to dominate its continent.
