The Earth is close to the end of its life, it has stopped turning and one face is always facing the sun and the other obviously in darkness, with a small band in perpetual twilight. A wonderful read, weird in some parts, Giant space spiders, people umbilically linked to a tree, brain fungus, flymen, the moon....
