Plenty of action, sure to keep the kids entertained; sometimes the race descriptions can be pretty similar which makes it a bit mundane, but still good nevertheless.

Matthew Reilly - Hover Car Racer This childrens book was published in 2004 by Macmillan, its quite a long book at around 434 pages. This book is actually something i have read recently as my cousin is reading it for a primary school book report which is pretty interesting, he asked me to read it for him to see what i thought (well his parents did, because they know i love books).
