Another book to get boys reading. or interested in books. Ages 4-12 with the younger children being read to of course. Illustrations: crude, but they are meant to be as if drawn by a child. Storyline: Hiccup doesnt quite seem to live up to expectations as the son of viking chief. Rather than big, brawny and brainless, he is small, intelligiant and kind, but both his kindness and intelligiance will pay off in the end. The young vikings must pass an iniatiation test into their society, or be forever exiled. Part of that is stealing a sleeping dragon from a cave. In an act of kindness, Hiccup gives the young dragon he has taken to a boy with none, ...
