There's nothing like a snappy title to attract you to a new book is there and this certainly isn't! So, with a title that takes as long to write as it does to review, what on earth tempted me to part with my cash for this one? The author is trying to prove to the average mum that home ... Read the complete review

....or "How to feed your whole family a healthy balanced diet with very little money.... and hardly any time, even if you havy a tiny kitchen, only three saucepans (one with a ill-fitting lid) and no fancy gadgets - unless you count the carlic crusher" to give it is full title. I bought this book after it was recommended in The Thrift Book by India Knight (see my review on it.) The two books share a lot of the same ethos - the drive towards simplicity and health without spending a fortune. Holcombe herself is a single parent herself so a lot of the recipes and ideas come from personal experience and striving to cook economical and healthy meals ... Read the complete review

Simple, Whole And Nutritious Recipes For Family Meals. Phew! Try saying that after a couple of Vino's! Indeed, it was the title that first caught my eye as I was browsing the best-selling book list on Amazon recently.
