This book is basically pictures from the movie.The original novel was written by Diana Wynne Jones and the screen play was written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Like most manga books you have to read it from right to left. There are not very many words in each strip so it is easy to follow once you get your head around it being backwards.

There are four books in this series by studio ghibli and this is the first one.

Graphics - In my opinion these are really good.Some of the pictures are really detailed and the colours used are good.

Story line / originality - I think that this is quite original.

When Sophie gets saved by a handsome stranger from soldiers her life takes an unexpected turn.She returns home to be met by the witch of the waste who puts a curse on her.Sophie, unable to tell anyone about the curse leaves town and ends up living in a moving castle.

Unfortunately these titles can be harder to get especially the further along you get in the series.You can buy them from Forbidden Planet or bookstores such as Waterstones. If the book shop doesn't have it in stock they will often be able to order it in for you. Also available from Amazon.
