I didn't believe I could learn so much in a few days! "Learn HTML in a weekend (Revised Edition)" is written by Steven E Callihan and is written for beginners. The cheapest I could find it on the net is £18.59 (including p & p) with StudentBookWorld. It comes with a CD which contains software, gifs, templates, a Web Art sampler as well as a collection of fonts. Besides a computer running Windows you need only three things to learn HTML from the book: 1. A graphical web browser connected to the internet. This should be Netscape Navigator (version 3.0 or higher) or Internet Explorer (version 3.0 or higher). 2. A text ... Read the complete review

I can highly recommend the Dreamweaver 3 Bible, which is as good as the software itself. This is the most comprehensive guide to using Dreamweaver that I have read and I keep it permanently beside my computer. This book is effortless to read and understand and guides you, with ease, through the maze of facilities that Dreamweaver has to offer. It is filled with useful hints and tips, based on the author's experience of using Dreamweaver and has a webite to back it up. If there is any aspect of Dreamweaver 3 that is not well covered in this book, I have yet to find it. The author describes Dreamweaver 3 Bible as the 'definitive guide' and I ... I'm fairly new to Dreamweaver, and just getting the hang of the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) aspect of Dreamweaver is hard, when I've been writing in HTML for years. However, I decided to buy the Dreamweaver 3 Bible, as although I was producing moderatly decent webpages with Dreamweaver, I had the strangest feeling that I was missing out on something..... It turns out I was! However I was fazed, and still am by the size of the book (over 2 inches thick!), I found the easiest way was just to skim the book, then when there was somthing I wanted to do in particular, just look up that topic. The book explains it all very easily and clearly ... Read the complete review
