This is one of those books that is infinitely better than the film, even though the film is very good. It is the story, for those who do not know it, of two dogs, Pongo and Missus, (they take a few liberties with the dogs' names in the film.. ) and their search from London to East Anglia (Suffolk, specifically), to find their stolen puppies, with the help of many dogs along the way, as well as a cat, a horse and a variety of human characters.
