I Am David - Anne Holm

This is one of my favourite books that I grew up with and recently came across it again, so had to give it another read to see if it still had the same readability and lasting factor and thankfully it does. It is mainly meant for young teenagers, but the way I see it is that there are lots of adults who read Harry Potter and this book is a lot more adult than Harry Potter so can definitely be recommend to anyone. I Am David - Advantages: It is a very informative, Tells you the harsh reality - Disadvantages: A bit boring near the middle

David is twelve years old. All his life he has lived in a concentration camp in Eastern Europe. It is a terrible place. David has been there since he was a baby and he knows nothing of the outside world except those things his one good friend and mentor, Johannes, now dead, has told him.
