Advantages: A true account of her days as a captive
Disadvantages: A sad story
On the 28th of May 1996 sabine Dardenne was riding her bike to school when she was kidnapped by Marc dutroux. She was twelve years old.
This is the harrowing account of a young girl who was abducted, sexually abused, raped and locked in a tiny room in a cellar by a sadistic paedophile who fooled her into believing that his boss wanted her dead to he was hiding gher for her own safety.
On the brink of adolecence and being forced to eat rotten or out of date food Sabine was not going to lay down and die without a fight.
Totally believing her kidnappers story Sabine wrote to her family on a regular basis describing her horrific lyfestyle under the pretence that her family were receiving them. Luckily for her they would later be used as evidence against the evil monster who ruined not only hers but countless other childrens lives. Sabine was lucky enough to survive to tell her story.
Summary: A gripping account of a young girl who's live changed forever

- 16/07/09 Sorry for the low rate but there is no opinion in here at all - a review must contain opinion to be useful. |

- 16/07/09 Sorry but what makes a review useful is where you share your experiences with a product. All you've done is give a synopsis of the book. Personally I found this book very harrowing and while I did want to read to the very end I found I had to keep stopping to recover at certain points. |
