The admiral pronounces that it must be ... more  ... swamp fever (now is that worse than swine flu??) or at the very least it's a bad cold! Before she can even eat one sandwich the princess is hurried back to the castle and put to bed. The doctor says she must not get out of bed and she is to eat lots of broth to help her get better. As you can imagine, this does not go down well with the little princess - especially the nasty tasting broth!

My daughter is a big fan of the Little Princess animated TV programmes that are shown on Channel 5 and as a consequence has been given quite a few of the accompanying picture books for Christmas and birthdays. The latest one in her collection is I Don't Want a Cold! which is just as good as all of the others that we have read. The main character in all of the books is the little princess herself. She lives in a big castle witrh a lot of important grown ups, such as the king, queen, prime minister, admiral, general, as well as a maid, a chef and a gardener.
