I picked this book up after reading the back of in when in Asda. I'm always reading the backs of books, deciding I would like the book then adding it to my huge pile of books that I have to read but don't have all that much time to read. I actually read this book quite quick after I bought it and I have to say it is a good book.

This was the first book by Lindsey Kelk that I read, and I have read a couple of her books after this one and like her style. The authors I like are Sophie Kinsella and Carmen Reid so I would say if you like those authors then this author would probably be good to read as well.
The story centres around the main character called Angela Clark. The story starts at a wedding - Not Angela's. Angela is in love, but unfortunately her boyfriend perhaps isn't quite as in love with Angela. Very quickly in the book we find out that her boyfriend is cheating, so what does Angela do - go home and lock herself in with Chocolate? No, she takes herself off to New York.

What better way to get over the love of her life than going to the city that never sleeps and getting into being free and single. Angela is able to write about life in the City in her blog, and Angela has more than 1 man after her attention in the big city.
I read this book before I went to New York, and I would say that the description of the city is great. The author touches on bits and pieces in Manhattan and how Angela does fall in love with the city and how she changes from the upset woman after losing her happy life to someone who is seeing life through different eyes now.

Angela is on "holiday" in New York. When the time comes to go home will she be happy to leave her new life behind and go back to where she came from?
This is an entertaining read and I kept wanting to read a bit more to find out what Angela was up to. It's not what you would call a gripping thrilling storyline, but a fun page turner anyway.

After this book there is a couple of "I Heart" books came out. These are "I Heart Hollywood" and "I Heart Paris". Both are also good but this is my favourite.
A good book that will keep you entertained.
