Overview of the plot - Camilla, a single mum of two boys starts surfing the net to meet new people. She meets and enjoys talking to a pirate from the Carribean and he invites her and her children to go and stay with him on his boat. He isn't quite as he seems as he sends a different picture but she stays to enjoy the Carribean Pirate lifestyle!

This is a very amusing book. It is chick-lit but with a twist! It is also an adventure, with some romance and comedy mixed in and is very original. I like it when authors defy the normal expectations of a genre.

The Pirate is very funny - you end up hating and loving him. He can be quite awful at times, such as by holding her captive, but he does meet his match in Camilla.

I also loved all the Carribean references to the culture, especially the food. He is a millionaire so he orders and eats as much as he wants - it can leave you feeling hungry at times - for both some sunny weather and delicious fresh sea-food.

My only slight criticism is that it does become a little far-fetched but read with an open mind and it is certain to amuse and delight! I would definitely read this if you are bored with the same chick-lit that is usually released.

A great book for the summer (or read it before if you need cheering up!)
