Advantages: It really conjures up imagrey in your head
Disadvantages: You might not be able to put it down
This book just tops them all. Andy McNabs IMMEDIATE ACTION is probably the best he has wrote, yes that is right, even topping his best seller BRAVO TWO ZERO. Although only just.
I believe he has only ever written three non fictional books (Including his knew book SEVEN TROOP), and to have a non fiction as my top, all time favorite book, requires great skill as an author; trust me, i do like my fictional books!
The story is about the life of Andy McNab from the day he was found in a Harrod's carrier bag on the steps of Guy's Hospital to the day he went to fight in the Gulf War. And trust me its a page turner. Like many young lads without a prospect of a job, he joins the army. After a few years he passes selection and joins the SAS, but not without its trouble. I cant say can't say anymore as i might as well type the book up, and the fact its probably illegal.
Anyway, from that point onwards, its all action. The book grips you and pulls you in, and doesn't let you go. Not that you would want to, i had to really force myself to put it down.
Summary: The best a book can get
